The Story
Before the brushes — there was a gold medal.
Subhashree Hati — known to the world as Romma — began her journey not in a makeup studio, but in a classroom. A philosophy topper who graduated with a gold medal, she was recognised by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam himself — one of India's most beloved presidents. She then spent years as an English teacher, learning how to communicate, connect and inspire.
And then came makeup. Not as a fall-back. Not by accident. As a calling.
But the early days were not easy. Romma was trolled relentlessly for posting her makeup selfies on social media. People mocked her. Questioned her. But she did not stop. She kept posting, kept learning, kept showing up — until the work spoke for itself.
Today, Romma is a nationally recognised artist who has worked with Bollywood celebrities, appeared on MBC TV and Prameya News7, and stood beside over 1,200 brides on their most important mornings. She has been recognised at award ceremonies across India — including receiving the Emerging Talent in Bridal Beauty Designing award from former Miss India Dia Mirza in New Delhi.
